Buildings Since 1946 CESBE has been proactive in building construction. Nowadays it accumulates a vast experience in governmental, industrial, commercial, and hospital buildings as well as hotels and sport facilities. Some of these buildings have become symbols of Curitiba like the UFPR Building and the Oscar Niemayer Museum.
| CASTELO BRANCO BUILDING – OSCAR NIEMEYER MUSEUM COMPLEX
Built by Cesbe in 1974 with 27,000 m². Its outstanding structure was conceived as a huge overhanging beam with 68 m central span and two 20 m side cantilevers in post-tensioned concrete. At the date of its construction it was an engineering feat in South America. It was updated in 2002 when became part of the Museum Complex. Architect: Oscar Niemeyer.

| OSCAR NIEMEYER MUSEUMStructure in post-tensioned concrete placed on the top of a 21 m tower. 70 m high, 30 m wide and two 30 m cantilevers. It resembles an immense eye suspending in the air. Its structure was built with high strength concrete. The tower is connected to “Castelo Branco” uilding through an underground tunnel. Architect: Oscar Niemeyer..

| FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF PARANÁEnlargement and reconstruction of the UFPR Historical Building in 1952, when its classical facade was designed by the Italian architect Carlo Barontini. Presently, this facade became the symbol of Curitiba.
