In an interview to Valor Econômico in the last Wednesday, 06, Luiz Otavio Assis Henriques, vice president of Generation and Trade of EDP, highlighted the commitment of EDP, CTG and Furnas in the anticipated delivery of the first machine of the São Manoel hydroelectric power plant that will have a power of 700 MW.
Located in the border between Mato Grosso and Pará, the São Manoel hydroelectric power plant is the third power venture of EDP that has the expertise of Cesbe in the building of the project.
The contracting of Cesbe to conclude the civil works ensured the successful anticipated delivery in 6 months; result from the knowledge acquired by the company in its large experience in the power industry. The company’s expectation is that the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) authorizes the commercial operation of the plant in the next weeks.
