Klabin built one of the world’s largest pulp production units. Named Puma Project, the undertaking is located in Ortigueira, Paraná, and Cesbe was responsible for carrying out four works contracts in the project, two of them directly with Klabin.
One of these contracts was the construction of the Turbo Generators Building, the Cooling Towers and the Oxygen Plant.
This is a power station with a total nameplate capacity of 270MW. Of this total, 120MW are available to the industrial unit and 150MW to the Brazilian electricalgrid, enough to supply a city with 500,000 inhabitants.
The cooling towers have a capacity of 40,000 m³/h and the Oxygen Plant, a capacity of 300 ton/day of cryogenic products (oxygen, nitrogen and argon).
