Built in Joinville-SC, it started operating in 2013 and is one of the most sustainable factories in the world. It was the first to implement a pioneering set of systems in energy efficiencyand environmental protection, with an emphasis on the solar energy – generated from the sun – water recycling through reverse osmosis and an unprecedented runoff and sewer treatment through filtering gardens.
The plant has built-in air conditioning (1.400 TRs) and the buildings were designed and constructed according to the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and Leed (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) GOLD certified.
