Bracell, one of the largest producers of soluble and special pulp in the world, has started Project Star in Brazil to expand its production. It is expected to exceed the current 250,000 tons to 1.5 million tons of pulp per year. For this, approx. 7 billion reais will be invested in the expansion of its plant located in Lençóis Paulista (São Paulo).
Contracted by AndritzPulp&Paper, a world leader in the supply of systems, equipment and services to the pulp and paper industry, Cesbe will be responsible for the construction of the Fiber Yard and Woodyard Line, where the foundation of tanks and ground equipment, precast concrete structure, electrical rooms, floors and channels will be built.
For Vinicius Teixeira, Cesbe’s general manager of contracts, this project reinforces the construction company’s reputation in pulp and paper works. “We are delighted to participate in a project of this scale, which will have a major economic impact on the region.”
Since we started our work until today, Cesbe has already allocated 150 employees, but it is expected to reach 800 people, including its own employees and third parties. “We are determined to meet customer expectations by planning the entire schedule to deliver on time,” said Vinicius.
