Cesbe launches campaign to strengthen adoption of sustainable practices

This year Cesbe took advantage of the Environment Week (created in Brazil in 1981 to complement the celebration of the World Environment Day, on June 5, established by the United Nations Organization), as an important starting point for launching an awareness campaign which reinforces the company’s commitment to take on more sustainable practices in its operations.

The campaign launched by the company uses the mote “Plastic, the greatest villain of the environment”, considering that plastic represents one of the most polluting factors in the world today. Throughout the Environmental Week promoted by the company, besides the educational lectures with our employees, Cesbe eliminated the use of disposable plastics in its day to day operation.

To give you an idea of the impact of this change, in a single large work the company has already used approximately 18 million disposable plastic cups.

According to Cláudio Colin, Cesbe’s quality manager, we are committed to the continuous improvement of our operations, by focusing on quality and sustainability. “We are only at the beginning of our actions to contribute and promote the engagement of our employees and society with the preservation of the environment.”
